This article explains how to set up the Elo hardware for your Moneris Total Commerce solution, including the Moneris Go Terminal (DX8000) terminal and Elo POS equipment.

Important: We’ve updated the Moneris Total Commerce onboarding and setup experience as of August 28, 2026. To make sure you’re using the right instructions, follow the onboarding flow that matches your order date:

Ordered before August 28, 2026? Use the Original Onboarding Flow.
Ordered on or after August 28, 2026? Use the New Onboarding Flow.

There is a specific order in which to set up your equipment. You need to perform the following tasks in the order presented here to make your setup experience as seamless as possible:

Review the information in the Before you get started section below.
Follow the Onboarding Flow that pertains to you (Original for merchants who ordered MTC before August 28, 2026; New for merchants who ordered MTC after August 28, 2026).
Unbox the equipment.
Power on the Elo tablet.
Connect the Elo tablet to your business Wi-Fi network.
Download and install any software updates for the tablet.
Assemble and connect the scanner.
Set up the Epson receipt printer, connect it to Wi-Fi, then pair the Epson receipt printer to the tablet. Connect the cash drawer to the receipt printer.
Log in to Wix POS on the tablet and perform initial configuration.
Set up the Moneris Go Terminal (DX8000) and pair it with the tablet.
