Upcoming improvements to product availability management

Starting April 2026, we’ll be progressively rolling out a redesigned product list and simplified availability management in UEAT Backoffice and UBoard. These changes are designed to make product availability easier to understand, manage, and maintain, especially for multi‑location brands.

What's new

The new product list with improved search and filters will allow you to:

Quickly identify unavailable products using availability filters.
Schedule the automatic return of products, so they come back at the right time without manual interventions.

Multi-locations brands will especially benefit from a simplified availability management at the headquarter level in UEAT backoffice:

See which products are unavailable across all locations, or only in some of them, using availability filters.
View the availability of a specific product in each location in one place.
Change availability in bulk for selected locations, in just a few clicks

How will this affect my products?

To support these improvements, we’ll perform a one‑time data migration along with the new experience activation. This migration is designed to be minimal and to not disrupt your daily operations.

Products that are currently available will remain available.
Products that are currently unavailable or temporarily unavailable will become unavailable.
To avoid misconfigurations, availability will be clearly aligned between an item with variants and its variants. Meaning that if the item with variants is unavailable or temporarily unavailable, all of its variants will also become unavailable.

Will this affect how my products appear on sales channels?

Yes, slightly, but in a clearer and more consistent way:

Products that are unavailable with a scheduled return date will remain visible but greyed out on Online Ordering and Kiosk.
Products that are unavailable with no return date will remain hidden.
External sales channels (Uber Eats, DoorDash, SkipTheDishes) will continue to behave exactly as they do today.

How product availability is managed and what’s chaging?

Today, product availability depends on both the menu and the location. This will be respected during the migration. After the migration, availability will live only at the location level, reducing complexity and making availability easier to manage.

Please note that multi‑location brands will still be able to offer different products per menu. This can be done by:

adding or removing items directly from menus, or
selecting or unselecting menus for groups in the Groups tab of a specific product.
